I am incredibly excited to be taking up the opportunity to work with Scrn as Digital Communications Manager. In this position I will primarily act as Online Manager to oversee the wide range of services that Scrn provides to the European Broadcasting Union as new media agency for the Eurovision Song Contest. I will be relocating to Amsterdam to take up the role at the start of November. This means that much of my media work will cease for the foreseeable future, however, I am hugely excited to be a part of the Eurovision Song Contest and I relish the challenges that lie ahead.
In particular I am very much looking forward to working with the wider team of volunteers who do such an amazing job on the Eurovision Song Contest. Having attended the event since 2000 I know how challenging it can be to provide robust, up-to-date coverage and I will seek to work closely with the team to listen to them and take on board their ideas as we plan for the next contest.
I’d also like to pay tribute to Jarmo Siim who worked so hard to take the contest to a new level and I hope to build on those foundations as we move towards Stockholm 2016.

Well done on the new role Paul. I hope it doesn’t mean the end of Dr Eurovision on the ESC semi finals.
Good to see you moving ahead Paul. Trust everything is good. Watching Terry Wogan tribute. Me – still helping out with archiving for SF&RS and preparing study packs for MSc Students at Strathclyde Uni.
Keep well son.
